Sea Kayak Scandinavia
(Part 2)
The journey continues!

Well not quite. We arrived in Stavangar earlier this week, I came here early to enjoy some time exploring the local area with my son Oliver. We have had a cracking time so far, after settling in and sorting out kit and kayaks we paddled out to the Island of Tingholmen and camped there for the night before returning to Stavangar. I presented a slideshow to the local sea kayak club here last night on previous expeditions and future projects which was fun and I believe well recieved. Then today Erling, Oliver and I climbed up to Preikostollen (Pulpit Rock) This precipitous overhanging rock is a must see location if you are ever in the Stavangar area, the trip was all the more special as the mountain was covered in Snow. Both Oliver and I are very grateful to the hospitality of Erling Brox and his lovelly wife Sonja who have looked after us very well since we arrived. In fact the highlight for me since arriving here has been the gift of a woolen hat that Sonja has knitted by hand for me.
Mark shall be arriving early next week and we shall be making our way to Bergen shortly after where we are looking forward to meeting up with local paddlers there.
